Golf improvement is not a one-size-fits-all process, so my coaching is no longer structured around isolated, pay-as-you-go lessons. All new students begin with a comprehensive Swing Evaluation at GOLFTEC San Antonio. During the evaluation, we analyze your swing, ball flight, goals, practice availability and current performance. We then identify the highest-priority issues and recommend the coaching structure that best fits your game. What Happens After the Evaluation? Following the evaluation, we can build a personalized Game Plan that may include: - A sequential series of private lessons - Guided practice time - Full-swing development - Putting and short-game coaching - Club fitting and equipment analysis - Course-management planning - On-course coaching and performance evaluation - Progress reviews and updated practice priorities The number and frequency of lessons depend on your starting point, goals and the amount of support required to create lasting improvement. Why I Do Not Recommend One-Off Lessons A single lesson can identify a problem, but meaningful improvement usually requires more than one appointment. Golfers need time to understand the change, practice it correctly, receive feedback and learn how to transfer it to the course. Sequential coaching allows each lesson to build on the previous one instead of starting over with a new tip every time. This creates a more organized and effective process: Evaluation → Diagnosis → Lesson Sequence → Practice → Progress How Much Does Coaching Cost? Game Plan pricing varies based on the length of the program, number of lessons, practice access and additional services included. Programs can range from several hundred dollars for a shorter introductory plan to several thousand dollars for a more comprehensive, long-term development program. You will not be pressured into choosing a plan before understanding what your game needs. At the end of your Swing Evaluation, we will review the findings, discuss the available options and determine which level of coaching makes the most sense for your goals and budget. Club Fitting and On-Course Coaching Club fitting and on-course coaching may be recommended when they support your overall improvement plan. A club fitting helps determine whether your equipment matches your speed, delivery and desired ball flight. On-course coaching focuses on decision-making, shot selection, routines, uneven lies, scoring strategy and transferring your lesson work into actual play. These services are used strategically—not simply added to every program. Start With a Swing Evaluation Before investing in a series of lessons, begin by understanding exactly what is happening in your swing and what needs to change first.
